  • Biography

Ms. Kersti Eesmaa completed her five-year term as Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia in Canberra in August 2024. Currently, she serves as the Brand Ambassador for Women in Cyber Security under the WorkPath Australia (WPA) program. Ms. Eesmaa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Tartu and a Master’s degree in Business Consultations with honors from the Estonian Business School.

Her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia began in 1996, where she progressed to serve as the Director General for both the Human Resources Department and, most recently, the Consular Department over the past five years. Additionally, Ms. Eesmaa has represented Estonia at the UN delegation in Geneva and at the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU in Brussels, focusing on international trade issues during her time there.

Fluent in Estonian and English, she also possesses knowledge of French, Russian, Finnish, and Swedish.
